What defines a solid wood TV cabinet
A solid wood TV cabinet is a media storage unit built from real hardwood, with enclosed compartments behind doors rather than the open shelves of a TV stand. The doors hide electronics. The solid hardwood construction supports heavy flat-screen TVs without sagging over time. The internal shelves organize media devices and route cables out of sight.
Our solid wood TV cabinets differ from particleboard media consoles in two structural ways. First, the tops are cut from hardwood lumber at 1 to 1.5 inches thick, which handles 200+ pound TVs without any flex across the span. Second, the internal shelves and back panels are also solid wood rather than thin fiberboard, which means hinges stay tight and shelves stay level through years of weight cycling.

Storage and cable management inside our TV cabinets
Behind the doors, each TV cabinet uses adjustable internal shelves that reposition on pin supports. A 70-inch cabinet typically includes three compartments with two movable shelves each, which lets you stack a gaming console on one tier and stand a router upright on another.
Back panels include pre-cut cable pass-throughs, usually 2-inch round cut-outs in each compartment. Feed cords through the cut-outs into the hollow back channel, where a power strip mounts flush against the interior. Every cable stays out of sight from the front.
Soft-close door hardware prevents slamming and extends hinge life. On long TV cabinets over 72 inches, we add a center support leg that carries downward load from wall-mounted TVs above.
