Corner Desks

A corner desk wraps your workspace around you. CITA Interior’s corner desks use solid Suar wood shaped into an L configuration that follows the 90 degree angle where two walls meet. More surface, less wasted space. If you need something more spacious or with added storage like drawers, Office Desks can offer greater flexibility, while a corner desk creates a more open, minimal feel that keeps your space light and uncluttered.

Why an L-Shaped Corner Desk Improves Your Workflow

A rectangular desk forces you to work in a straight line. Monitors, keyboard, and documents all compete for the same narrow strip of space. An L shaped corner desk gives you two zones: one for your screen and primary work, the other for reference materials, writing, or a second monitor. You swivel your chair to switch between zones instead of stacking everything on top of each other.

This dual zone setup is why corner desks are the preferred configuration for professionals who work with multiple screens, creatives who switch between digital and analog tools, and students who need space for both a laptop and textbooks.

Single Slab Construction at the Corner Bend

Most L shaped desks are two separate pieces joined at the corner with brackets or bolts. The joint is a structural weak point and a visual interruption. Our corner desks are shaped from a single Suar wood slab, with the grain flowing continuously around the 90 degree bend. There is no visible seam at the corner. The surface is one unbroken piece of wood from end to end.

This is the same construction principle used in our Corner Shelves and Corner Bathroom Vanities. The grain follows the curve naturally, creating a seamless transition that makes the corner feel intentional rather than compromised.

Creating a Complete Corner Workspace

Above the desk, mount Corner Shelves for supplies and reference materials. The shelves follow the same 90 degree geometry and share the Suar wood material, so the entire corner becomes a unified workspace system. For a dramatic touch, a Corner Tree Bookshelf above the desk transforms the work area into something that feels more like a creative studio than a home office.

Freestanding vs Wall Mounted Corner Desks

Corner desks are available in both configurations. Freestanding models have legs or a trestle base and can be repositioned without wall work. Wall mounted models use concealed brackets on both walls and leave the floor open. The wall mounted version shares the same bracket system as our Wall-Mounted Desks, providing up to 200 pounds of support.

FAQ

Q: Are both sides of the L the same length?

A: Standard models have equal length arms. Asymmetric configurations with one longer side are available as a custom option.

Q: What if my corner is not exactly 90 degrees?

A: We accommodate angles from 80 to 110 degrees. Provide measurements and we will adjust the slab angle.

Q: Can I add drawers to a corner desk?

A: Yes. Suspended drawer units can be mounted beneath either or both arms of the L.

Q: How does the desk ship?

A: Corner desks ship as a single piece in a custom crate. The base or brackets ship separately.
